UCOL’s Certificate in Automotive Engineering is a pre-apprenticeship programme which will help get your career started as a technician in the automotive industry. By successfully completing UCOL’s Certificate you will also gain a Level 2 National Certificate, therefore fast forwarding your apprenticeship. UCOL graduates are highly valued by the automotive industry as we are Palmerston North and Wairarapa’s preferred training provider.

Most materials needed to complete the units of learning will be provided. However you will need to provide the following;
Stout Footwear (E.g. leather shoes or boots Steel toecaps are optional.)
Sneaker type footwear is unacceptable. $100.00
Overalls
Second hand overalls can be purchased from NZTS in Donnington St. $ 40.00
Costs are approximate.
Tools
A basic tool kit consisting of spanners’ pliers’ screwdrivers’ $100.00
