Artrageous is a Whanganui UCOL student exhibition displaying captivating collections of UCOL arts students’ work. Running for two and a half weeks from October 30th - 17th November 2012, it's your chance to view creative work from Fine Arts, Glass and Computer Graphic Design students, concluding with a spectacular fashion show, “Bright Young Things”, at the Jubilee Stadium.

Each exhibition has its own story. The Glorious Wallpaper Show opens the annual Artrageous season on Tuesday 30th October at Edith Gallery. It’s a lively and vibrant exhibition, viewing the dynamic paintings of over twenty Year 1 Bachelor of Fine Arts students. While you’re there, you can also view the latest video art from Quay School of the Arts students.

Fragile Worlds is an exhibition of paintings and glass and mixed media sculptures, conveying the sensation of each student artist’s private world. Opening Friday 2nd November at 5pm, Fragile Worlds gives viewers the chance to see some excellent contemporary painting and glass sculptures by Year 2 Bachelor of Fine Arts students.

You’ll also have the opportunity to buy Students’ work in some of these exhibitions. You never know, you could end up with an up and coming New Zealand artist’s work in your own home.
