Whanganui School of Design at UCOL Whanganui and the School of Photography, Arts & Design at UCOL Palmerston North offer a range of creative courses across a number of fields.

Graphic Design is a creative process that combines both art and technology to communicate ideas. With Graphic Design you’ll embark on a programme that combines your passion for aesthetics and technology so you can communicate mind-blowing concepts to the world. If you’re interested in print-based design including illustration, photography and typography, or time-based design including animation, web design, and interactive - Graphic Design is the area for you.

Visual Imaging is all about creative variety. Take your creativity and turn it into a marketable skill. You’ll work across all aspects of visual imaging including photography, design, moving image, illustration and visual journalism. In your second year of the three year degree programme, you’ll find your niche and pick one specialty to launch your creative career.
