The Certificate in Motorsport offered at UCOL Polytech is designed to introduce you to the world of motorsport and in particular the skills and knowledge base required to modify a vehicle for participation in motorsport events.

You will be able to participate in a wide variety of motorsport activities and develop skills in automotive engineering, automotive electrical, motor body trades and vehicle refinishing. You will also be able to participate in managed motorsport events, driver training and have the opportunity to work in a Pit Crew. On successful completion of this programme, you will be able to: Assist to modify a vehicle for participation in motorsport events | Participate in managed motorsport events and driver training | Demonstrate knowledge of vehicle engine components, layouts and functions | Demonstrate knowledge of vehicle construction and repair techniques and vehicle refinishing practices | Carry out service, repair and modification operations under direction and supervision in accordance with current industry practice | Work in a team environment and attend to customer requirements with integrity and professionalism.
