The National Certificate in Joinery (Introduction) Level 2 gives you the necessary knowledge and skills to enter the joinery industry. This programme covers first aid, using hand tools and portable power tools, work documents, creating sketches and drawings, safe work practices, measuring and calculating, using fixed machinery, using fixings, ordering materials, selecting timber, using adhesives and sealants and providing customer service. You will be taught cabinetry and learn to make kitchen and bathroom cabinets, and also study wooden joinery which includes learning to make windows and doors.
