Take your career further with UCOL!
Discover exactly how exercise and lifestyle aids the assessment, prevention, rehabilitation and management of musculo-skeletal injuries and medical conditions and apply this.

A clinical exercise physiologist is an individual who specialises in the delivery of exercise, lifestyle education and behaviour modification programmes for the prevention, management and rehabilitation of chronic conditions, diseases and injuries for people from every walk of life.
Within the programme, you will focus on the key areas of cardiac rehabilitation, exercise for other special population groups (such as diabetes, respiratory, cancer and neurological conditions) and musculo-skeletal injuries. Within the programme, the knowledge and clinical experience gained across all of these areas ensures the Clinical Exercise Physiologist also has the ability to deal with people with multiple complex issues.
The majority of the programme will be based within UCOL's specialised commercial exercise facility, co-located with other health professionals. You will be based within this clinical facility where you will be acting as part of a multi-disciplinary team under the supervision of experienced Clinical Exercise Physiologists. Through the post-graduate diploma you will acquire over 540 hours of valuable clinical exercise physiology experience, develop skills critical to the expert field of clinical exercise physiology, and be competent and ready to enter this new and developing field within health.
