UCOL’s School of Fashion offers a three year degree programme for people wanting a serious career in the exciting world of fashion.

 

The degree explores the fashion design process from concept to garment completion. Home to one of New Zealand’s top fashion schools, Whanganui UCOL’s custom designed and superbly equipped School of Fashion will be your classroom, studio, production facility and research centre. The Bachelor of Fashion is a dynamic degree which aims to educate you in the processes of design, production and analysis. It offers you the opportunity to develop your artistic knowledge and gain the skills to pursue a career within the fashion industry. Subjects include design, pattern making, construction, drawing, visual communication, business studies and intern. You will be expected to produce a collection of garments for the annual fashion show, plus a professional design portfolio. All this will enable you to secure a job in the fashion industry or start your own label – the opportunities in the fast moving world of fashion are endless.
