UCOL’s Diploma in Furniture Design and Making offers students a practical and hands-on experience, learning the process of designing solid timber furniture concepts and turning them into reality.


The programme lecturers are qualified furniture makers and along with the practical component, which equates to 80% of the course, you will take business studies that will help you to run your own business or work within an existing one.

Classes are generally between the hours of 8.00am - 4.30pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Allow 20 hours in class and an additional 20 hours lecturer-directed learning each.
