Take your passion for design to the next level with Whanganui UCOL’s Master of Design degree. Whanganui UCOL is home to the internationally renowned Whanganui School of Design where students of the Master of Design programme study with the best in the field. Our award-winning lecturers will cover design theory and original academic or applied research to provide you the skills needed to create advanced design projects of your choice in either time-based or print-based mediums.

Graduates of the Master of Design degree will excel in a range of careers such as graphic design, illustration, web design, animation, photography, software development and much more.

Candidates for this programme must undertake and complete a written thesis based on their research initiatives and prepare a body of work for final exhibition. They must possess an exceptional degree of motivation and a strong enthusiasm for design.

Classes are generally between the hours of 9.00am - 7.00pm Monday - Friday. 
Allow 15 - 20 hours in class and an additional 20 hours lecturer-directed learning each. Each semester is a total of 600 hours of instruction.
