Programme Overview
The National Certificate in Marae Catering Level 2 is an excellent starting point for people wanting to work within the hospitality industry, or for those wishing to gain a formal qualification in marae catering. Based out at Te Kura Kaupapa Maori O Tupoho, the programme includes tikanga as well as cookery and food service within a whare kai. It will provide a solid foundation in marae catering.
This hands-on programme is designed and delivered to provide you with a solid introductory foundation to tertiary education, giving you a great head start into programmes like culinary arts and hospitality or other tertiary education programmes.
Literacy and numeracy are embedded in this programme.
