My background is Plant Science/Microbiology and after starting a MSc (Plant Physiology), I then moved to Palmerston North in 1997, to start studying computing, as I have always enjoyed people and computers. I have worked at UCOL since 1998, starting of as a night class computer lecturer, and disability support in Business and Computing. I also facilitated for the first Community Learning Centre (Computing) in 1999, progressing to Programme Leader, for nine classroom sites. In 2004, as UCOL invested in fully online programmes, I was involved with both Development and Programme implementation.
Today, I work with a range of UCOL online programmes, both development and tutoring, with a continued smaller involvement with the Community Computing classes.
