The School of Applied Health Sciences has a proud history of providing its students with quality education and training for the highly sought after Scientific, Health (animal and human) and Fitness Industries.
The school offers degrees in Medical Imaging Technology (Radiography - one of three providers in New Zealand), Exercise and Sport Science, Diploma's for technicians in Laboratory Technology (the only provider of the National Diploma in Science level 6 in the Southern North Island), Veterinary Nursing, Therapeutic and Relaxation Massage.
Additional foundation certificate courses are offered to staircase graduates into a range of health-related and science programmes at UCOL or at other tertiary institutions.
Our expert and passionate staff are highly rated by employers and our Health and Science courses are renowned for producing high calibre practitioners. Students in these programmes consistently win national awards and the associated research performed continues to have international acclaim.
