UCOL Wairarapa welcomes the opportunity to offer a wide range of STAR programmes.

Below is a brief outline of programmes/units available for STAR at the Wairarapa campus.  Programmes can be tailored to meet any options you may have identified as being a necessary part of your senior school curriculum.  If you have a preference for a programme being offered at one of the other campuses, we will endeavour to accommodate your request.

DELIVERY OF PROGRAMMES

Programmes will be delivered at UCOL Wairarapa and where appropriate, in terms of meeting resource requirements, they may also be delivered in schools.

Secondary school teachers who meet NZQA and UCOL requirements may also be able to deliver programmes within the schools – please enquire.

Every consideration will be given to accommodate individual school requests/ needs.

There are four delivery options available to schools for UCOL STAR programmes:

1. UCOL staff teach the programme at the UCOL campus
2. UCOL staff teach the programme at the school
3. Articulation – schools purchase teaching packages from UCOL and teach the programme at the school
4. Students may choose to attend sessions with the mainstream classes during the week for the STAR unit standards and UCOL modules – timetables available on request
