As an integral member of the Student Experience Team you will  support students with their learning and assist with a variety of support options.

 

Using practical assistance, a range of learning techniques and a positive attitude the Learning Support Tutor works with students from the certificate to degree level You will need experience working in adult education and a creative approach with an excellent range of communication skills.

 

This is a 0.6 position with the Student Experience Team.

Purpose Statement:

To assess student's learning needs and then assist them in the development of academic skills through one to one or small group support. By coordinating  peer support and working with the Student Support Team contribute to the retention and success of students.

 

Responsible To:

Programme Leader Community and Health/Student Support Services

Person Specification

Qualifications:

 Degree (not optional)

 

Experience:

Adult teaching  (not optional)
