Whanganui Scholarships

Each year, a number of donated scholarships are available for students enrolled at Whanganui UCOL. Scholarships range from $300 - $1,000. Application deadline is 28 February each year. A standard application form is used for all scholarships.

Whanganui UCOL scholarships are awarded to students in recognition of effort and achievement, to assist with financial hardship, or for a combination of circumstances. Some scholarships apply to specific study areas, and some may be directed towards specific student groups. Several awards for Whanganui UCOL students are nominated by Faculty.

The Scholarship Committee considers all applications and allocates the money available by consensus decision, taking into account the numbers of students in different programme areas to maintain an equitable distribution across the polytechnic. All applicants are notified of the outcome of their application.
