Our health centre is open 8.30am – 4.50pm Monday – Friday, with nursing, counselling, and disability services.


Whanganui Health Support

Located in Info Hub

*Lynda is available to offer health advice and support and will guide you towards the community support services available for all UCOL students, including the Youth Services Trust (7 Park Place, Whanganui, phone 348 9935, email who provide:

  • a free nurse for all UCOL students Monday to Friday between 9.00am - 11.00am and Wednesday afternoon from 1.00pm - 5.00pm
  • a free doctor on Monday from 5.00pm - 6.00pm, appointments necessary
  • a free counselling service, appointments necessary. 


Available to confidentially discuss and help with any issues affecting you.

Please contact the appropriate health centre to make an appointment.  You can print a copy of our Counselling Intake Form to complete before your first session, or pick one up form the Student Health centre.

For Whanganui please contact the Youth Services Trust directly or Lynda who will arrange an appointment for you at Youth Services Trust. You can download a form above or pick one up from Lynda.


Disability Support

Students that require support in and/or out of the classroom should contact the accessibility/disability co-ordinator in their region.



In Palmerston North, TBI Health is located in the UCOL U-Kinetics Centre at 62 Grey Street. TBI Health is offering 20 per cent discount on private and ACC surcharges for all UCOL staff and students for 2015. Call 952 7100 to make an appointment to see a physiotherapist.
