Following the decision to close UCOL’s Whanganui campus today, the Incident Management Team have reviewed today’s events and predictions from Civil Defence and Horizons Regional Council and have decided that the campus will remain closed on Thursday.

Civil Defence have the streets closed around the campus with a cordon in place and the river is still peaking and flooding.

We will continue to review the situation on a daily basis and will re-open the campus as soon as it is safe to do so.

Students can keep to update via the UCOL Facebook page, your student email and we may send you a text message.

For students who have missed classes due to road closures or had classes cancelled due to the campus closure, your lecturers will guide you as to what needs to be done when you get back / when classes resume.

If you are travelling please check the road conditions and closures before heading off.    You can call 0800 4HIGHWAYS (0800 44 44 49) or visit:
All other UCOL campuses are open as normal.
