The UCOL Academy Business Administration & Technology Programme will allow you to explore the world of business, office work, and contact centres as you learn about office systems and customer service. You will learn financial literacy skills, as well as customer service techniques for face-to-face communication and over the telephone. In addition, you will develop good technical skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Use the main features and functions of a presentation application for a purpose.

Unit Standard 29769 (Level 2) (Version 1) (3 Credits)
Use the main features and functions of a word processing application for a purpose.

Unit Standard 29770 (Level 2) (Version 1) (3 Credits)
Use the main features and functions of a spreadsheet application for a purpose.

Unit Standard 11815 (Level 3) (Version 6) (3 Credits)
Answer customer enquiries on the telephone in a wide range of contexts.

Unit Standard 62 (Level 2) (Version 9) (3 Credits)
Maintain personal presentation and a positive attitude in a workplace involving customer contact.

Unit Standard 376 (Level 3) (Version 8) (2 Credits)
Employ customer service techniques to accommodate customer behavioural styles in a workplace.


 Domestic Entry Requirements

For year 11 - 13 secondary school learners (NZ Citizens, permanent residents or learners with an applicable visa allowing them to be enrolled in a secondary school).

Applications are to be received from participating schools.
