New partnership with Higgins and Downer Construction
A highlight of 2017 was partnering with Higgins and Downer Construction to offer New Zealand Certificate in Infrastructure Works (Level 2). Students from Tararua College studied in Dannevirke on the Downer Group site, where they have all been offered jobs with Downer Construction. We are now partnering with these two companies at our new campus in Levin

 Advice & Guidance

Academy offers secondary school students a range of opportunities. To participate in Academy you must show a keen interest in the area of choice. Students may be asked to attend an interview to assess their suitability for the programme chosen.

All students must also gain school endorsement from their secondary school to attend. Academy students must be enrolled at school and actively working towards NCEA.

Academy will give you the opportunity to develop core skills in the area you select. The credits gained will be attributed to your NCEA and provide you with knowledge to staircase into further study or employment.

We aim to ensure that location is no barrier to success and will provide transport where appropriate for Academy students.
