Take the first step towards a career in New Zealand uniformed services (army, navy, airforce, police and fire). The UCOL STAR Service Academy course will introduce you to the basic knowledge and skills to explore the many options available.

Successful completion of the UCOL Service Academy course is the first step in a journey. You will know what you need to do to pursue a career New Zealand Armed Services - Airforce, Army, Navy, Police or Fire. If this is for you, you can undertake further tertiary studies in:

  • Academy Police Pathway Level 3
  • Academy Exercise and Sport Level 2
  • Academy Health Level 3

 Course Information

The UCOL Te Pūkenga STAR Service Academy course comprises 4 Credits.

 Domestic Entry Requirements

For year 11 - 13 secondary school learners (NZ Citizens, permanent residents or learners with an applicable visa allowing them to be enrolled in a secondary school).

Applications are to be received from participating schools.
