Thinking About Becoming a Lecturer?

If you are thinking about a career in the tertiary sector as a lecturer, you will need:

When applying for a lecturer position we trust that you will have the first two points well in hand.

All new teachers to UCOL Te Pūkenga will work alongside a Te Atakura coach to help them reflect on practice and implement our Te Atakura values into their teaching approach. This is about creating a meaningful experience for students, with awhānau-like learning environment, where learning really excels. 

Adult Education Qualifications

If you’re not quite there yet and need a formal qualification, UCOL Te Pūkenga can help. Our Adult Teaching programmes will provide you with the skills you need, including a sound understanding of educational theory and a repertoire of strategies for use in teaching and learning, assessment and programme design.
