Health and safety, and workplace relations specialist Employsure is holding a seminar at  UCOL | Te Pūkenga in Palmerston North to provide Business students* with insights into mitigating challenging workplace relationships, and how to maintain a health and safety compliant organisation.

Senior Workplace Consultant, Stephen Wakem is giving the seminar to New Zealand Diploma in Business students on Wednesday 3 April 2019. Based in Palmerston North, Stephen works closely with small and medium-sized businesses, understanding where their pressure points lie to provide robust measures promoting efficiency and preventing disputes.

UCOL | Te Pūkenga Business & ICT Industry Project Facilitator, Sheela Murugasu says, “Employsure are a valued member of our business community and a leader in New Zealand in workplace regulation issues. They will be presenting to our Business students on timely topics that provide a real-world view of classroom learnings.”

“Getting the legislation right is the first step to a successful small business. Students will be looking at several key areas in the real world to develop their small business.”

“Part of delivering a modern qualification that provides organisations with work-ready graduates is exposing them to realistic workplace scenarios. Having industry leaders and professionals involved as part of achieving this provides an excellent learning opportunity for our students that they certainly value”
