On Friday 16 April, UCOL was proud to welcome MP Adrian Rurawhe to our Manawatū campus. MP Rurawhe is a member for Te Tai Hauāuru, Labour Party, and was also the Chairman of Ngāti Apa for 10 years.

MP Rurawhe was welcomed with a mihi whakatau and had a kōrero with a variety of staff members. Discussions ranged from our programmes with Ngati Apa, to the value of vocational education, and our methods for suppporting our students. He was then toured through our Regional Trades & Technology Centre, Hair & Beauty Salon, and even stayed late to see more of our Student Success space.
