Are you looking for a creative and practical programme whereyou can learn and apply textile design? On the U-Skills Fashion and Textile Design programme you will experience the design and production process of a textile project(s) which will feature at the end of the year exhibition.

Through this programme you will learn research techniques, discover more about yourself through design, and create project(s) that are innovative and are sustainable in design.

Unit Standard 91356 (Level 2) (Version 3) (6 Credits)
Develop a conceptual design for an outcome.

Unit Standard 91325 (Level 2) (Version 2) (4 Credits)
Produce a resolved work that demonstrates control of skills appropiate to cultural conventions

Unit Standard 91310 (Level 2) (Version 2) (4 Credits)
Using drawing methods to apply knowledge of conventions appropiate to design.

Unit Standard 91363 (Level 2) (Version 3) (4 Credits)
Demonstrate understanding of sustainability in design

Unit Standard 91346 (Level 2) (Version 4) (4 Credits)
Demonstrate understanding of advanced concepts used to make textile products.





 Domestic Entry Requirements

For year 11 - 13 secondary school students (NZ Citizens, permanent residents or students with an applicable visa allowing them to be enrolled in a secondary school).

Applications are to be received from participating schools.
