UCOL is an educational institution with a history dating back to 1892. On 1 November 2022, UCOL became a business division of Te Pūkenga - New Zealand Institute of Skills and Technology. With the merging of 16 Institutes of Technology and Polytechnics (ITPs) and 11 Industry Training Organisations (ITOs), Te Pūkenga is the largest tertiary education provider in New Zealand. Within it, UCOL | Te Pūkenga has four campuses across the central and lower North Island. We hold a strong regional position and play a vital role in our regions’ economic development.
UCOL | Te Pukenga give our graduates, both domestic and international, the skills needed by businesses. Our programme specialities include Applied Engineering and Trades, Health and Sciences, and Humanities and Business. Our campuses have been designed to enhance student learning, supported by a relationship-based teaching approach.
