Important for Internationals

UCOL Te Pūkenga is dedicated to supporting international students seeking or undertaking study with us. The following policies and procedures guide the way UCOL Te Pūkenga deals with international student applications and the pastoral care of international students.

Admission and Enrolment

International Student Fees

International students pay different fees to New Zealand citizens. The fees can be found on the programme (qualification) page. The fees displayed are for one year of study. Payment is required in full before teaching starts.

Pastoral Care

Recognition of Prior Learning

UCOL Te Pūkenga has a Recognition of Prior Learning Procedure. Contact us to find out more.

How to make a complaint

In the first instance, an international student must use the UCOL Te Pūkenga internal complaints procedure to lodge a complaint.

If the complaint is not satisfactorily resolved, the issue can be escalated to NZQA who will either investigate the concern raised or advise the student what to do next.

For unresolved complaints related to contractual or financial issues, NZQA will direct the student to iStudent Complaints to be resolved under the International Student Contract Dispute Resolution Scheme (DRS). The DRS is a New Zealand Government scheme and is available to current, former, and prospective international students.
