Outside of our Academic Promotions Framework, we also celebrate the success of our kaimahi (staff) through our Kaimahi Development and Awards Day, which we celebrated for the first time in 2024, replacing various other forms of staff awards from over the years.
The day featured a number of our UCOL whānau presenting on projects they had undertaken that were worth celebrating and presenting the different award recipients with their trophies.
The awards are made up of the following categories:

- UCOL Community Champion Award
- UCOL Campus Awards (one per campus)
