Work for UCOL
UCOL has been a part of our communities for over a century. We are a proud example of a successful Institute of Technology and Polytechnic. UCOL’s roots began in 1892 in Whanganui, joined by Wairarapa in 1896, Palmerston North in 1902, and Horowhenua in 1987.
We have a rich heritage and much to contribute to the future of vocational learning as a valued and essential partner in our communities, recognised for its leadership in vocational education and training opportunities.
We care for our kaimahi (staff) and ākonga (students) as whole individuals, connected to their vibrant cultures within a supportive environment.
With over 350 staff across our four campuses, working in both academic and general roles, we are a close-knit community that values collaboration and mutual respect.
Our values reflect what’s important to our kaimahi (staff) and to UCOL as an organisation. These values are our standard of behaviour that you can expect to see and experience at UCOL.
Kia eke panuku, eke Tangata – Excellence
Whanaungatanga – Relationships
Te huringa tangata – Transformation
Kia kakamā - Agility
