A highlight of the UCOL calendar is commemorating the achievements of our students at hui whakapūmau (graduation). Everyone who is involved in our students' study journey - from lecturers to whānau - gathers together for what is a formal and enjoyable occasion.

Dates and locations for our 2026 graduations are as follows:


Manawatū, Palmerston North (Regent on Broadway):
Tuesday, 24 March - Certificates/Diplomas
Wednesday, 25 March - Degrees

Wairarapa, Masterton:
TBC date and location

Whanganui (War Memorial Hall):
Tuesday 31 March

Apply to Graduate
If you are eligible to graduate, you will be emailed an invite to register via Student Web Services.  Please ensure your contact details on Student Web Services (SWS) are correct, to ensure you will receive the graduation pack with everything you need to know about the graduation.


Hiring Regalia
Academic regalia is required for graduates with a diploma or degree. Academic regalia is optional for graduates with a certificate; smart casual is expected. In addition, Māori graduates may wear a korowai over their gowns.


Guests
It is your special day, and you can bring your whānau, friends or supporters to your graduation ceremony. There will be a limitation on the number of guests you can bring for the Palmerston North ceremony only, you will be allocated three guest tickets and will need to apply for additional seats by emailing ucolgraduation@ucol.ac.nz or clicking the enquiries button above and completing the form.
