UCOL is an educational institution with a history dating back to 1892. On 1 November 2022, UCOL became a business division of Te Pūkenga - New Zealand Institute of Skills and Technology. UCOL has four campuses across the central and lower North Island. We hold a strong regional position and are vital to our region’s economic development.
UCOL gives our domestic and international graduates the skills businesses need. Our programme specialities include Applied Engineering and Trades, Health and Sciences, and Humanities and Business. Our campuses have been designed to enhance student learning, supported by a relationship-based teaching approach. Students learn valuable life skills by studying with us and can contribute to the global community. Many international students choose UCOL to gain an internationally recognised qualification and get practical work experience while studying.
Once you become part of the UCOL whānau (family), we have an extensive support system to care for your educational, well-being, and social needs. Our
international student support staff are experienced in looking after the needs of international students and follow the
Tertiary and International Learners Code of Practice.
UCOL is a Category Two status education provider, the second highest rating given by the New Zealand Quality Authority (NZQA). Learn more about
