U-Skills Award ceremonies

UCOL | Te Pūkenga U-Skills students

UCOL | Te Pūkenga celebrates the success of our Year 11, 12 and 13 U-Skills Central Schools Academy learners each year at annual awards ceremonies that recognise the commitment, achievements and efforts that our learners have made throughout the year.

Held in different UCOL Te Pūkenga sites throughout the Central Schools Academy region, friends and family/whānau are welcome to attend these events which salute the UCOL Te Pūkenga young rising stars.

Ceremony details

Ceremony information is provided to all learners who have reached the end of the U-Skills programme, ahead of the programme ending (end of secondary school term three). Information will also go to your family/whānau and schools.

U-Skills Award Ceremonies are fairly informal events where attendees hear from the U-Skills Secondary Tertiary Manager, Transition Coordinators and programme lecturers, and learners receive awards of recognition. All learners who reached the end of their U-Skills programme are eligible to receive an award of recognition. Three main awards are also given out at each ceremony – 'Outstanding', 'Most Improved', and 'Dedication'.

Learners receiving awards should wear smart casual attire. Individuals are welcome to take photos and videos during the ceremonies.

At the end of each ceremony, lecturers, learners, family/whānau and friends will enjoy refreshments and a light supper at the venue.

U-Skills Results

Learner's academic records will be sent to their school by the end of the secondary school year and are free of charge. If your school has not received your academic record in this timeframe please contact the U-Skills Transition Manager.

Your U-Skills programme results will be loaded with NZQA by UCOL Te Pūkenga. We aim to have these loaded by the end of the secondary school year.
