Following on from UCOL’s Introduction to Computers, this course teaches you all the basics of Microsoft Word - formatting, layout, and document creation - so you can refresh your skills, prepare for further study, or boost your career prospects. 

This course offers free learning at your own pace in a facilitated environment.

Course Hours

Palmerston North

Monday, Tuesday and Friday, 9am - 12pm, and Tuesday, 5pm - 7pm

Whanganui

Monday and Tuesday, 9am - 12pm, and 5pm - 7pm

Course Information

The course covers basic word processing skills including:

  • Changing fonts

  • Formatting - paragraphs, margins, tabs

  • Editing

  • Title pages

  • Moving and copying information

  • Headers/footers

  • Tables

  • Bullets and numbering
