Are you interested in health and wellbeing? The UCOL STAR Human Body and Health course is your first step in the right direction to progress to working within the health and wellbeing industry. Equipped with new skills and a taste for the industry, you will know what you need to do to pursue a career in health and wellbeing.

If you're interested in applying for the UCOL STAR Human Body and Health course, talk to your careers advisor at school. Application is arranged in partnership with your parents/caregivers and your school.


Delivered in Palmerston North from 9am – 3pm on Wednesdays in term 3.

Successful completion of the UCOL STAR Human Body and Health course is the first step in a journey. Equipped with new skills and a taste for the industry, you will know what you need to do to pursue a career in health and wellbeing. This programme comprises of 6 credits:
 
Unit Standard 27457 (Level 3) (Version 4) (6 Credits)
Describe the anatomy and physiology of systems and associated organs of the human body.


For year 11 - 13 secondary school learners (NZ Citizens, permanent residents or learners with an applicable visa allowing them to be enrolled in a secondary school).

Applications are to be received from participating schools.

The UCOL STAR Human Body and Health course is part of a suite of courses offered by UCOL to secondary learners seeking to explore their career options while still in school.

Costs
Fees-free for learners. Upon successful application, your school will pay UCOL a fee.
