UCOL Scholarships

The scholarship is for students who have demonstrated a willingness to support and aid others with their course of study. A UCOL staff member must nominate applicants.

The scholarship is available to a UCOL student who has a disability or is dependent on a disability and is facing additional costs or exceptional circumstances.

Supported by Palmerston North Jaycee Trust in association with Palmerston North City Council, this scholarship is available to students who demonstrate academic merit, interest and leadership in community affairs. The scholarship will consider your plans for the future and financial circumstances.

This scholarship is awarded twice a year to one or more students to allow them to further engage in education, research and fellowships; arts, cultural and sporting activities; and career development, conferences and professional/personal development.

This scholarship is awarded twice a year to one or more students. It can be used in a number of ways, with the overarching objective being to support and empower UCOL students who are consistently demonstrating effort and achievement in their students. Students do not need to be ‘A’ students, as consideration is given to a range of factors. This scholarship cannot be used for living or maintenance costs.

This scholarships are available to full-time students of UCOL Whanganui.

This is available to Māori students committed to te reo me ona tikanga who are studying full-time at UCOL.

Thanks to THINK Hauora, twice yearly we award up to $750 to one or more learners, who identify as part of the rainbow (LGBTTQIA+) community and are enrolled and attending their classes.

This is available to female students enrolled in a full-time degree course. High academic achievement is a key criterion.

This grant is to support many female students in the UCOL Trades, STEM or Trades & Technology courses* by providing financial help to assist with their identified needs. This grant can be used for costs to help you undertake your studies, as identified and justified by you (the applicant).

The aim of the scholarship is to assist UCOL students to enter and work in the Manawatū technology industry. As well as funding for study costs, this scholarship offers employment and/or internship opportunities, and chances for networking and advocacy. Students must be in Year 2 or 3 of the Bachelor of Information and Communications Technology.

The aim of the scholarship is to assist those aspiring to advance or broaden their career and become involved in the wider trades industry in the Manawatū and Whanganui regions
