Join the UCOL STAR Beauty course to learn beauty therapy techniques and gain insight into the beauty industry. You will gain knowledge about the history of beauty therapy and how fashion trends relate to modern practices in a fun practical setting.

This course comprises 3 credits.

Unit Standard 27640 (Level 2) (3 Credits)
Demonstrate knowledge of current fashion trends and history related to beauty therapy.

Practical

  • Manicures
  • Make-up application
  • Skin care, facials, masks, biological masks

Dedicated beauty salon.

For year 11 - 13 secondary school learners (NZ Citizens, permanent residents or learners with an applicable visa allowing them to be enrolled in a secondary school).

Applications are to be received from participating schools.

The UCOL STAR Beauty course is part of a suite of programmes offered by UCOL to secondary learners seeking to explore their career options while still in school.

Fees-free for learners. Upon successful application your school will pay UCOL a fee.
