Nathan's education journey is international. Originally from Malaysia where he initially studied, he has worked, studied, or taught in Vietnam, the United Kingdom, Australia, the Solomon Islands, and here in New Zealand.
He has presented at numerous international conferences, highlighting his dedication to staying ahead of global trends. "Human Resources Management is about networking with others," he said.
Nathan attributes his success to the collective efforts of colleagues and the community. "I feel it's not my effort; it's a team effort. A lot of people have contributed to my work over many years." This ethos of collaboration is a hallmark of his career, and he is committed to nurturing future talent.
Teaching is a family affair for the Ehambara family. His parents were teachers, and his mother offered extra tuition to students from home, inspiring him to follow in her footsteps. While working in Vietnam, he met a Kiwi who motivated his move to Aotearoa, and today, he enjoys life with his family in Palmerston North.
Nathan joined UCOL in 2015 as a part-time faculty member, and he is also an HR consultant. He credits UCOL with providing a supportive environment that fosters research and encourages community engagement.
