The UCOL Te Pūkenga Honours Awards recognise and celebrate the contribution of people to UCOL Te Pūkenga, the community and society in general. The following awards are conferred by the UCOL Te Pūkenga:
Honorary Fellow This award may be granted to an individual who has demonstrated an outstanding and noteworthy contribution to the well-being and benefit of society; UCOL Te Pūkenga; and or/in their field of endeavour.
The Fellowship is the UCOL Te Pūkenga highest honorary award and is reserved for those individuals whose contribution goes well beyond the norm or what is expected of them by virtue of their occupation or profession.
Honorary Associate This award may be granted to an individual who has made a significant contribution, over and above normal duties, to UCOL Te Pūkenga or the wider community of which UCOL Te Pūkenga is a part.
Note the Fellowship and Associate Award are generally given to non- UCOL Te Pūkenga staff. Where a former UCOL Te Pūkenga Staff member is nominated the criteria should be applied to their contribution outside of their work at UCOL Te Pūkenga, otherwise, an Institutional Medal may be better suited.
Institutional MedalThis award may be granted to an individual who has been and is no longer a permanent employee of UCOL Te Pūkenga and has made a significant contribution to UCOL Te Pūkenga or their field of endeavour over and above normal duties.
UCOL Te Pūkenga Alumni AwardThis award may be granted for significant accomplishments by a UCOL Te Pūkenga alumni, demonstrated by making a contribution to business/industry/ community at large; standout in their chosen profession/shows a demonstrated commitment to service through an interest in bettering the lives of others; shows success in their occupation or chosen endeavours.
